Defense suppliers asked the Ministry of Defense (MOD) to review the public procurement (DPM) manual (DPM), which limits the offer of ammunition only from the public sector manufacturers and stated that they are able to meet the requirement for the municipalities of the defense forces.
The private defense manufacturer said that if the mod changed the existing rule that allows the public and private sector to be issued, it would provide great support to the shooter industry and allow players of the private sector to invest extremely to join Make in India.
“We had a meeting where we presented a presentation about concerns, and the mod assured that the proposal was reviewed by the MO and the Ministry of Military Affairs,” said the top official of the private defense manufacturer.

He stressed that the ammunition created by Adani Defense & Aerospace has the highest quality and certified NATO, allowing them to export to global markets based on the approved list of countries by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and MOD. The company is already exporting ammunition to four countries.
At the state police level, the company has recently supplied munitions to the Police UP, through the offer, which was carried out on the Portal of the Government E-Trh (GEM), said.
Recently, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh announced that the ministry declared 2025 for the “year of reform” to transform the armed forces to become technologically advanced and ready to fight. He also quoted that defense exports from 2013–14 to 23,622 Crore in 2024–25 in 2013–14 to 23 622 crore.
