
The 56 -year -old man died on the spot after he was allegedly transported by a private bus on the Kasturba road in the city center, the police said.
The deceased was identified as Rafatullah, DJ Halli resident in the eastern part of the city, which operated a mass trade trade in the same locality. The victim suffered serious injuries to the upper body, including the head, in an accident that occurred on Friday between 7.30 and 8:00.
Police book the bus drivers according to Section 281 (rush of ride in a public manner) and 106 (1)) (causing death negligence) BNS after the complaint of the brother of the deceased.
According to the police, Rafatullah returned to DJ Halli from Bengalur South District on his scooter as he came across dividers in Siddalingaiai Circle and fallen. Meanwhile, the bus, which moved towards Indianagar when transporting employees of a private company, ran over it. Police claim that Rafatuallah fell directly close to the rear wheel of the bus according to eyewitnesses. However, CCTV shots of the intersection must still be reviewed.
“The driver did not try to escape and noticed his statement with us and said that the scooter was moving through a narrow space. For now we have detained it, but we will review the CCTV shots before doing any step,” police officer Hindu said.
