Telangana won the India Energy Storage Alliance Alliance (IESA) Award 2025 in the State Guidance category – battery production.
Recognition underlines the pioneering efforts of the state in supporting the robust ecological system for the production of batteries and new energy technologies in India, it said, the department of electronics and communication. The prize was awarded during the 11th India India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025 in the new Delhi.
In the last few years, Telangana has appeared as an advanced energy center, powered by proactive industrial policy, the development of strategic infrastructure and strong innovation support. Management of these developments are progressive policies such as EV policy and the energy storage policy and the renewable energy policy of Telangana, along with the creation of reserved industrial clusters, making Telangana an attractive investment across the value chain of battery and cell production, EV assembly and components, said.
