The health department in cooperation with the education department will organize a program of rabies against rabies in schools.
On Monday, medical staff of the classroom leads awareness of the prevention of rabies for pupils during the assembly hour in all governments and help schools throughout the state, the statement of the health department said on Saturday.
In this respect, the education department issued a special directive to schools. Doctors or healthcare professionals from local healthcare institutions and urban health centers will participate in sessions.
In each district, one main school will organize a program at the district level, which will be attended by a district collector, representatives of people and officials at the level of districts from the Health and Education Department.
Quick first aid and vaccination are extremely important when it comes to animal bite. Children are particularly susceptible to rabies infection if they maintain the bite of animals. Both children and teachers will be gaining awareness of first aid after the bite of animals or even scratches on the skin made animal claws. The importance of vaccination and the way one should interact with animals also learns children.
In July, classes of awareness for all teachers and parents of schools will be made through PTA meetings. Leaflets, videos and posters offering children’s instructions will also be prepared and widely distributed.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of rabies and its preventive measures between children to take the message home.
