
The President’s rule in manipuru was extended by another six months after the resolution introduced by the Minister of the Interior of the Union Amit Shah in Lok Sabha.
The extension will enter into force from 13 August 2025.
According to the official announcement, it said that “this house approves the continuation of the valid announcement of 13 February 2025 in connection with the manipur, published under Article 356 of the Constitution by the President, for six months with effect from August 13, 2025”

The police said the security forces were performing search operations and exercise of domination in the edge and vulnerable areas across the districts because ethnic violence broke out two years ago.
