President Droucadi Murmu on Sunday (March 30, 2025) greeted his fellow citizens on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr and wanted the festival to bring peace, progress and happiness in everyone’s life.
“Eid-ul-fitr means the end of fasting and prayer during the Holy Moon of Ramadan. This festival strengthens the spirit of fraternity, cooperation and compassion,” she said.
“This festival also supports social links and inspires us to build a harmonious, peaceful and prosperous society,” Mrs. Murmu said in the report.
“Eid is an opportunity to promote the spirit of empathy, compassion and charity. May this festival bring peace, progress and happiness in all of all and give us the strength to move forward with a positive approach,” she said.
According to a statement issued by her office, the President said in her message: “On a favorable occasion of Eid-UL-Fitr, I expand my greetings and all the best to all Indians living in India and abroad, especially Muslim brothers and sisters”.
