
President Maldiv Mohammad Mizza organized a press conference lasting almost 15 hours, announced his office on Sunday and claimed that she had broken the previous record of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zlensky, as stated by AFP.

“Muizza, 46, started a marathon press conference on Saturday at 10:00 (0500 GMT) and continued for 14 hours and 54 minutes with short pauses for prayers,” his office said in a statement.
“The conference was extended at midnight – the new world record of the President – with the president of Muizza constantly responded to journalists’ questions,” the statement said.
In October 2019, the Ukrainian National Agency for National Records acknowledged a 14 -hour press conference by President Volodymyra Zelsky, violating the previous record of more than seven hours set by Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, AFP reported.

The Maldiv government said that the extended press conference of President Muizza was supposed to coincide with the World freedom of the press on Saturday. “He acknowledged the key role of press in society and emphasized the importance of factual, balanced and impartial reports,” he added.
During the lengthy meeting, the President of Muizza also dealt with questions presented by the public through journalists.
The statement further noted that the Muizza, which in 2023 took over the office, celebrated the rise of its nation by two places on 104.
