
President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday arrived at the holy abode of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on a two-day pilgrimage.
On arrival at the Padmavati guest house where she would stay overnight, Ms. Murma was given a warm welcome by Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha, TTD Chairman BR Naidu, Collector Dr. Venkateswarlu, Superintendent of Police L. Subbarayudu, Additional Managing Director Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD board members and other officials.
According to the itinerary, the President offered prayers at the hill temple on Friday morning after worshiping at the Lord Varahaswamy Temple.
After a short stay at the guest house, she left for Tirupati airport from where she left for Hyderabad.
