
Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Supreme Court in Telangana on Thursday (August 14, 2025), after hearing a written petition looking for a direction to rebuild Pedamma Ammavar in Colony of Banjara Hills, which was ordered in early hours of July to preserve Ammavar.
The judge, who heard a lawsuit filed for lunch, ordered the main secretary of the income, the collector of the Hyderabad district and the Shaikpet Tahsildar to put all the details of the demolition of the temple in court. Attorney P. Vinod Kumar Reddy of Himayathnagar, who moved the proposal for lunch, said the temple had been pulled down without issuing any announcement to devoted or priests.
According to him, Sanctum Sanctorum had the temple of gold ornaments, a box containing money offered by devotees and other religiously important articles. The authorities did not notice the visuals of demolition for evidence, he said. The petitioner wanted the government to reinstall the idol and rebuild the temple. The thing was sent by August 18 for another hearing.
