The government will set up new schools covering Nursery to Class 4, providing world-class facilities and equipment, setting the benchmark for future expansion across the state.
These schools should be equipped with facilities at the level of corporate institutions and milk, breakfast and lunch would be provided to the students, which would ensure holistic care in addition to education, comparable to any corporate private school.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who reviewed the functioning of the education department with senior officials on Friday, said the government’s priority is to provide quality education to the poor. He said the focus should be on educational institutions in the core city region within the outer ring limits and schools should be developed at par with corporate educational institutions. Schools should have playgrounds, classrooms and a good atmosphere.
He directed them to identify the lands owned by the school establishment department. Steps should be taken to shift schools without proper facilities to those having facilities near government lands.
