
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that he spoke to the President of Congress Malikarjun Kharge and asked about his health. PM Modi said he wanted the leader of the Congress Rapid recovery.
“Praying for his continuing well -being and long life,” Modi said in a post on X.
Kharge on Wednesday went through a procedure to implant a pacemaker, said his son and Minister Karnataka Priyank Kharge on Wednesday.
The 83 -year -old leader was admitted to the MS Ramaiah Municipal Hospital on Tuesday.
Priyank Kharge said that his father’s condition is stable and is doing well.
“Sri Kharge was recommended that the pacemaker be implanted and admitted to the hospital for the planned procedure. He is stable and doing well. Grateful to all of your concerns and wishes,” the Minister said in “X”.
Later, talking to reporters, he said Kharge was stable and there was no need for someone to worry about.
“The doctors recommended the pacemaker to be implanted due to age -related problems. They said it was needed to stabilize heart rate.
Priyank Kharge, pointing out that his father is 83 years old and travels to different parts of the country, is to be responsible for him to be the president of the congress and fulfill his responsibility in the current situation is certainly a difficult task. “But he has a blessing of people and the wishes of good friends.”
Doctors recommended Kharge’s rest after surgery. “Maybe he will need two to three days of rest, no need to worry,” he added.
The doctors recommended the pacemaker to be implanted due to age -related problems and breathless.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah visited Kharge, who is also the leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha, in the hospital and asked about his health. He wished him a speedy recovery.
