Pratap Simha accuses Siddaramaiah of reviving AHINDA politics to pressure Shivakumar

Pratap Simha, a former MP, alleged that former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was trying to revive the AHINDA movement to put pressure on Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and destabilize his government.

While attending the ‘Ballari Chalo’ padayatra in Kampli taluk on Monday, Mr. Simha alleged to presspersons that Mr. Siddaramaiah is reviving the AHINDA plank as Mr. Shivakumar no longer follows his views.

Mr Simha said divisions within the Congress had become more visible, with senior leaders, including minister Satish Jarkiholi, questioning Mr Siddaramaiah’s leadership. He also said that the reported low turnout at the convention held at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds indicated a decline in Mr. Siddaramaiah’s support.

Mr Simha accused Mr Siddaramaiah of prioritizing his son’s political future over the interests of backward communities and Dalits, alleging that senior leaders such as former ministers HC Mahadevappa and Tanveer Sait were sidelined.
