Jana Sena Party (JSP) leaders Gurana Ayyalu, Avanapu Vikram and others on Monday (July 6, 2026) sought strict action against actor Prakash Raj, alleging that he was providing support to YouTuber Prasna Ravan and others for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Deputy Chief Minister and JSP President Pawan Kalyan.
Speaking to the media here, Mr. Ayyalu said that Mr. Prakash Raj was inciting YouTubers to make hate speech against Mr. Pawan Kalyan and it was evident from his recent social media posts.
Mr. Ayyalu said that Mr. Prakash Raj never responded to the atrocities that happened during the YSRCP regime but immediately questioned the present NDA government when the police cracked down on Prasna Ravan and others for hate speech.
Mr. Vikram said that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is funding YouTubers to defame Mr. Pawan Kalyan and other respected leaders in the state.
JSP president Cheepurupalli Viginigiri Srinivasa Rao said that the opposition party is trying to create unrest in the state by encouraging several YouTubers.
Cases against a YouTuber
The YouTuber named by the JSP leaders, Prasna Ravan, is already facing a number of cases. The Kakinada District Police first arrested Joseph Bachalakuri alias Prasna Ravan in Hyderabad on June 30 for his remarks against Mr. Pawan Kalyan at a meeting in Eluru on June 28 and produced him before a court in Pithapuram under the Information Technology Act, 2000 on a complaint by a Jana Sena leader.
In the next four days, Sarpavaram, Payakaraopeta and Machilipatnam police registered four more cases against him. He was granted bail in all four.
On Sunday, Krishna district’s Gannavaram police invoked the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, along with sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against him on a complaint that he propagated CPI-Maoist ideology and made an inflammatory speech at the Dalita Samara Shankaravam in Eluru. Advocate Jada Sravan criticized the government for invoking the UAPA against him.
Meanwhile, the party is in jubilant mood over the good response of the youth to the party posts. A total of 2,800 people, including more than 400 women, have applied for party posts in Vizianagaram in the last five days.
