District Collector P. Raja Babu, SP V. Harshavardhan Raju and TDP in-charge of Yerragondapalem constituency Erixion Babu Guduri inspect the security arrangements at Kothuru village, Dornala mandal, Prakasam district on Thursday.
Ahead of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Dornala mandal in Prakasam district on February 25, Collector P. Raja Babu and Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Harshavardhan Raju on Thursday (February 19) reviewed the security arrangements in Gantavanipalli and Kothur villages.
Though the official schedule of Chief Minister’s visit to Dornala mandal is yet to be announced, sources said that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone on February 25 for a feeder canal that will carry water from tunnels in Dornala mandal to Sagar reservoir.
The District Collector directed the officials to speed up the preparations for the CM’s visit. He inspected the helipad area, rendezvous point, parking areas, convoy route and surrounding areas in Kothur.
Later, the SP inspected the venue, parking lot, entry and exit points and also the route from the helipad to the meeting point.
He asked the police officers to cooperate with officials from other departments and take precautionary measures so that there is no security breach during the visit.
