Prajwal Revanna, former Janata, gave (secular) from Hassan, who was convicted of rape last month, was assigned the duty of the library official in the central prison of Parappan Agrahar.
The source in the prison department has confirmed the Hindus that Prajwal has been working in the Prison Library of the last five days. Prajwal, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowdy, helps to maintain book records and manipulation with spiritual tasks in the Central Prison Library.

According to the prison manual, it falls into the category of unskilled workers and was given the opportunity to work in a bakery, carpentry, gardening, animal breeding or crafts. At the beginning of this week, he was assigned to work on the library. It currently receives around 520 GBP per day, with the amount increased over time.
Last year, three cases of rape were registered against Prajwal and one case of sexual harassment at various police stations throughout Karnataka. A special investigation team (SIT), headed by BK Singh, investigated fees and submitted chargers.
In July, the court was completed in one of the cases that included a 48 -year -old House Help. The Special Court for Criminal Cases against Members and Mla condemned Prajwal and sentenced him to imprison for the rest of his natural life. In this case, the victim worked as House Help on the family farm Revanna in Gannikada, Hassan.
After his beliefs, Prajwal was moved from a cell with a high safety to the convicted part of the central imprisonment of Pappan Agrahar. He was issued a uniform of a prison prisoner and carried 15528.
SIT submitted a prosecution of 1632 pages in September 2024, supported by 113 witnesses. Prajwal was booked according to sections 376 (2) (a). K) (rape by a person in the position of control or dominance) and 376 (2) (n) (repeated rape of the same woman) of the Indian Criminal Code and section 66E (privacy breach), inter alia.
The indictment claimed that the former legislature had raped the victim on two occasions. He also recorded the law on his phone and the video was escaped in 2024, just days before the elections in Karnataka. The FSL report confirmed that Prajwal appeared in the video, which became a decisive proof for SIT.
