
Eastern Power Distribution Company in Andhra Pradesh (ApePDCL) announced on Saturday (August 2) scheduled to turn off the power supply in the parts of the ELURU district to facilitate cutting and maintenance of trees on the 11 kV RTC feeder line.
In a press release released on Friday, the executive engineer KM Ambedkar said that the failure would occur from 6:00 to 9 hours and will affect the areas in the Ashok Nagar substation. Influenced locations include police districts, SP office, Parade Ground, Aminpet Ethigatt, CSI church and area behind the collector’s office.
Switching off is necessary to ensure safe and efficient maintenance of power lines. Consumers staying in these areas are required to be previous arrangements and cooperate with the department during a short interruption.
