
The Karnataka government has intensified security for tanks and power plants under Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. (KPCL) in the middle of the elevated tension along the boundary of India-Pakistan.
KPCL issued a directive with an emphasis on critical importance of ensuring sensitive installations within its jurisdiction. The order orders to implement comprehensive safety on all tanks and power plants, while other staff was deployed in coordination with the state police department.
Since KPCL operates many sources of energy production using water, thermal, wind, solar, gas and sources from waste to energy and by several developed tanks that develop to support hydro -energy production.
“… The decision is in accordance with the Central Government Directives to tighten security in sensitive places. The restriction of public access, focused primarily on providing public security, also increases the supervision of these critical infrastructure sites,” the clerk said.
