The country’s leadership stood united in grief and expressed condolences to those who lost their lives, when the air india, linked to London, which carried 242 passengers and crews, crashed in a residential area in Ahmedabad minutes after take -off.

The leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, in post X, said, “The pain and anxiety that families and crews must feel unimaginable. My thoughts are with each of them in this incredibly difficult moment.” He called for administration to provide urgent rescue and relief. “Every life is important, every second counts,” he added.
Congress Secretary General (organization) KC Venugopal announced that all events related to the parties planned by state troops and associated organizations will be canceled as a sign of respect for the victims of tragedy.
The main Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee said that the country was anxious to see the details of the survivors.
