At least three incidents of alleged post-election violence were reported from West Bengal’s Murshidabad, Malda and North 24 Parganas districts, police said on Friday (May 1, 2026).
In Murshidabad district, a CPI(M) operative, identified as Ruhul Amin, was allegedly assaulted in Lochanpur on Thursday night (April 30) within Islampur police station.
