Kerala police launched an investigation against VG Vinodkumar, assistant to the general police inspector (law and order), according to the sexual harassment of women at the workplace (prevention, ban and compensation), 2013 (POSH Act).
The decision is governed by a complaint raised by two subordinate inspectors (SIS) by Pathanamthit, who claimed that an older officer sent them inappropriate news in odd hours when he was the head of the district police (Pathanamthitta). Women submitted officers a formal complaint by Deputy General Police Inspector, Thiruvananthapuram Range, S. Ajeetha Begum, who recommended steps according to the classic law.
The head of the State Police (SPC) subsequently ordered Merin Joseph the Police (headquarters) to conduct a detailed investigation of this matter.
Mr. Vinodkumar, who claimed a conspiracy against him, asked SPC to abandon the ongoing investigation and call on steps to start the probe against the complainants.
