Contractual lecturers working in polytechnics in Andhra Pradesh have requested Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to regularize their services.
In a statement on Saturday, AP Polytechnic All Contract Lecturers Association state president AR Govardhan Naidu and general secretary B. Krishna said the 309 contract lecturers working in polytechnics in the state were facing serious financial problems.
They said the filling up of vacancies in the education sector through Mega DSC was a welcome move that brought relief to budding teachers who were eagerly awaiting recruitment.
They also welcomed that the government recently released the jobs calendar and recently approved Amaravati as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh in the parliament.
“However, adjustment of our services is a long pending demand. If approved, it will bring relief to the families of 309 contract lecturers,” they said.
