After a five-year hiatus, international polo is set to make a grand return to the capital, with a landmark clash between India and Argentina scheduled for October 25, 2025 at the iconic Jaipur Polo Ground in New Delhi.
The event is organized by KogniVera IT Solutions in association with Indian Polo Association and Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Considered the world’s leading polo nation, Argentina will feature a line-up of top players renowned for their exceptional horsemanship and mastery of the game. For India, the competition presents both a huge challenge and a valuable opportunity to test their mettle against the best and re-establish the country’s place on the international polo scene.
The match has a deep historical resonance. Believed to have originated more than 2,000 years ago in Manipur, India, polo eventually traveled west and flourished in Argentina. This October, the sport comes to a close – returning to its birthplace to take on the reigning world champions. The India-Argentina encounter promises to be not just a sporting spectacle but a celebration of the heritage, excellence and enduring spirit of polo.
