
Several political leaders, including the main Minister Siddaramahauh and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowdy, dropped SL Bhyrappy to the death of the veteran of Cannad.
In his condolence report, Mr. Siddarahaiah noted that the literary world of Kannada became poorer with the death of Bhyrappy, who has gained a large number of readers because of his unique writing style.
Mr. Gowda also said that Bhyrappa won the hearts of Lakhs readers by giving excellent novels to the literary world of Kannada.
Reinterpretant epic
The Minister of the Union for the steel and heavy industry HD Kumaraswamy noted that Bhyrappa changed the way one would see and read Mahabharat and Ramayan through the novels of Parva and Uttarakanda that interpreted these episodes.
“I read his novels and am amazed at his unique narrative style and method of creating characters. His death is a personal loss for me and I am proud that he was born in the Hassan district,” said Mr. Kumaraswamy, who is also a native of Hassan.
Debate -launched
Representative of the main Minister DK Shivakumar described Bhyrappa as a connection between Cannada and the literary world of the country. He noted that Bhyrapp’s writing and his views have always caused debates in the literary world.
Mr. Shivakumar, who represents the Kanakapura election district, recalled that Bhyrappa was selected as President of Kannada Sahity Sammelan, who took place in Canacapon in 1999.
The opposition leader at the Assembly of R. Ashok said that the literary world of Kannada lost a rare gem because Bhyrappa increased the richness of the literary heritage of Cannad through his novels.
Vijayendry President also expressed his condolences.
Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai remembered that Bhyrapa had great love and concern for his native village of Santheshivar in the Hassan district. “Without taking care of his old age, Bhyrappa tried to get a project to fulfill his village tanks. As the main minister, I made his dream of filling my village tanks,” he recalled.
