
The district police Sri Satya Sai launched rapid measures to restore the right and the order after the violent clashes between two families in the village of Papireddipalli in Ramagiri Mandal in the Sri Satya Sai district last week, resulting in the death of Lingamayya, Yysr Constors Party (YSRCP).
Police Superintendent (SP) V. Ratna said the police had intensified the investigation, which led to the arrest of all accused within 48 hours of clashes and their production before court.
She said that Hamlets were deployed special police teams vulnerable to fractions and the patrol were arranged across Ramagiri mandala to maintain the right and order and ensure public security. Mrs. Ratna said that police officials were closely involved in community members to ensure that the situation remained peaceful.
Given the planned visit to former main Minister Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, who offered condolences to the Lingamayyi family on Tuesday, the police intensified security protocols across the Dharmavaram subdivision. Police have issued strict instructions that allowed only the authorized leaders of the parties to enter the village during a visit to Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
