Police and sales tax tax started an effort against alleged illegal online store and interstate transport of flip flops to avoid tax. Despite the ban on online booking and delivery of biscuits, many traders reportedly relies on international agents who make it easier for an illegal business and offer huge profits to retailers.
Licensed flip -flops in Kozhikode said that the illegal movement of goods by abuse of courier services of various companies increased before Visha and traders looked at considerable profits. Local retailers adhere to the regulations cause major losses due to the influx of “illegal” operators.
“Online traders operate without any registered name or office to avoid inspections. They also avoid large taxes, while their legally operating counterparts are forced to pay a hefty tax. He added that “illegal” agents distribute poor quality products, many of whom are forbidden in several areas for pollution.
Police sources said intensified supervision and road checks focused on illegal parcel services have already led to the detection of two unauthorized supplies in the districts of Kannur and Wayanad. The biggest seizures were reported from Kannura, where the package agency reportedly deposited around nine Quintals flip -flops transported from Tamil Nadu.
Functiones of the Fireworks Sellers Association claimed that wholesale suppliers based in Tamil Nadu were constantly trying to circumvent the ban on online flip flops. They said that the unlawful reservation system was still functional in several places, while unauthorized agents collect orders online and promising delivery on request. Instead of using official online delivery platforms, these agents resorted to illegal transport methods between the state without observing any security protocols, they said.
Meanwhile, officials from the Ministry of Income stated that all legal steps were taken to avoid the entry of non -cultivated players into the firecracker store. Traders who work outside of temporary units without valid licenses or reasonable security measures would be subject to major fines and would also face legal measures, warned.
