The Minister of V. She was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police ShankarBab Bagchi, a representative of the police commissioner V. Ajith and several others.
Mrs. Anith said that the municipal police are trying to ensure smoother operation and the application was launched with regard to public interests. She said that the city was growing with jumps and limits, traffic problems have become the main problem and the government used technology to solve it.
Mr. ShankarBab Bagchi said that Visakhapatnam is the only city after Bengalur, where the “Astram” application will be used by the police and the public. Although the application was launched in Vijayawada earlier, it is only used by the police.
He said that the public can get real -time updates about the city’s operation using an application that you can download from the Play Store. He said that field officers and traffic police on service will report traffic situations in their locations in the control room and the data will be integrated and further shared in real time.
The officer added that the application enables the analysis of the cause of transport overload – whether it is a vehicle failure, a traffic accident, a road design problem or a signal problem. The police can analyze and come up with a solution.
He said that the application will also help to design green channels during VIP movements and transport of body organs during emergencies.
