The State Minister of Trade Unions for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan on Thursday (May 22, 2025) claimed that the Tamil Police was trying to cover sexual harassment concerning the DMK report in Arakkonam and that the National Commission for Women (NCW) accepted Suo Motu Cognisance.
When he talked to reporters at Chennai on the edge of the inauguration of rebuilt railway stations within the Amrit Bharat system, Mr. Murugan said: “In the case of Anna’s sexual assault, in the case of Arakkonam, this is the case of Arakkonam, but the state police are doing.”
When the journalists asked him whether the center had suffered any failure due to the fact that the Supreme Court remained investigating the enforcement directorate (ED) into alleged financial discrepancies in Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (Tasmac), Mirurugan said.
Murugan also stated that the government of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-Maled in the Center focuses on the holistic development of the country with specific support of the infrastructure projects on railways, airports and national motorways.
