Police Tamil rejected the permission for a 100 -day Padayatra announced by the leader of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Anbumani Ramadoss, after a petition from his father and founder of the S. Ramadoss party, she said on Friday (July 25, 2025).
Before the police decision became known, Dr. Anbumani on Friday evening launched a Padayatra near Thiruporur and also dealt with a public meeting.
It states that Padayatra had no consent and approval of the “founder and president of the parties” Ramadoss, the CEO of the police, in communication with all the Commissioners/Superintendents of the Police/Districts, and expressed a refusal to hold Padayatra at any time without written consent or “founder/president”.
While Dr. Anbumani claimed to be elected President of the Party, his father recently said he had taken over this role, and his son was described as a “working president”.
Dr. Ramadoss, who limited his son in using his surname, took note of the police that party cadre and leaders were in a state of confusion over the one -sided act of Dr. Anbumani, “which can lead to the conflict of both groups and culminate in the problem of law and order,” she said.
DGP ordered the manager to take steps to prevent Padayatra, said sources.
