
Cocon 2025, an annual cyber security conference and a hacker conference organized by the Keral Police, will be held here at the Grand Hyatt 10 and 11 October. The focus of this year’s edition, organized in cooperation with the Association for Information Security Research, a registered company, is the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The conference will also discuss topics, including potential challenges that represent an increase in AI technology and an increase in organized computer crime, the organizers said on Sunday in a statement.
A series of workshops led by cyber experts will be held as the predecessor of the event from 7 to 9 October. The aim of the event is to propose an action plan to prevent sexual abuse of children. In this part, before the Coon Conference conference, ten -day training for investigative officers of cyber units from all states at the Keral Police Academy, Thrissur. The training will take place from 29 September to 9 October.
Another highlight of the event is the youth forum, which aims to strengthen young people from South Asia and Southeast Asia to lead to sexual exploitation and abuse of children, especially in the online environment. Govind Mohan, Minister of the Interior Union, will be an honorary guest at the event. The main speaker will be Nathan Hamiel, head of research, Kudelski Security.
Hackathon was running
The state police also launched an international hackathon for the development of technological solutions that protect children from online threats. Participants in the sixth edition of the hackathon called HAC’KP 2025 were asked to build tools and systems for timely detection and interventional technologies to protect children online.
