Realle police saved a four -year -old boy within 17 hours of kidnapping using CCTV shots and technical supervision here on Saturday (August 2, 2025).
The police said the incident occurred on Friday evening (August 1, 2025) when the accused identified as Mummalani Charan, 35 years, RepALle Town, allegedly kidnapped a boy from a car near his school. Charan, who allegedly sexually harassed the mother of the boy for some time, kidnapped the child after repeatedly refused his progress.
The mother of a boy who lived independently from her husband soon filed a complaint at the RepALle police station. Four special teams led by DSP A. Srinivasa Rao and CI MALLIKARJUN RAO were created under the leadership of the superintendent Tushar Dudi. Police traced Charan to Vijayawada using CCTV and arrested him at the RTC bus booth.
SP praised officers for their quick and effective treatment of the case and united a boy with his mother.
