Police Hubballi-Dharwad began to act against holders of accounts on social media who indulge in activities that threaten to disturb law and order and create fear between the general public and have so far registered 28 cases at various police stations.
Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar said on Wednesday Prespersons in Hubballi that they started the event after the announcement had been announced that some noisy elements were using social media accounts to disrupt social health.
“At 16 police stations in two cities, we have set up a cell of social media monitoring, which has two technical staff to have vigil before social media accounts. After verifying activities and contributions of various social media, 28 cases were registered against these accounts that violated the instructions.
Social media contributions included injuries to religious sentiment, municipal events, contributions of incitement violence, disruption of videos violating traffic instructions, birthday party celebrations and others. Mr. SHASHIKUMAR said they would book other cases on the council of legal experts.
Names to be removed
The Police Commissioner answered the question and stated that they were revising a list of historical bottles. Of the total 1,862 names in historical sheets, 1,701 is a regular monitoring. “It is planned to drop around 250 to 300 names after proper verification of their activities and behavior and the process will take about two months,” he said.
He explained that there were several people in the list of historical legs who have exceeded the age of 60, and some of them are sick, while others have maintained a clean record by not engaging in any crime in the last 10-15 years.
“In fact, several of them died, while several others escaped. Up to 1,158 historical bottles gave the company and we showed 52 historical letters from the district,” he said, adding that the cases would be filed according to the GOND ACT CONTROL against history if they proved dangerous to society.
