The police superintendent (SP) K. Pratap Shiva Kishore on Monday in the Eluru district won 1.64 lakh and handed it over to the victims for computer crime, Prathipati Srinivas Rao.
A native of Taamarakoll in Caikalur Mandal, Mr. Srinivas Rao, clicked on his cell phone on May 13, 2025. In no time, cyber cheaters pulled out of his account 1.64 Lakh. Then Mr. Srinivas Rao turned to the bank and stiffened his account. He then registered a complaint at the Kaikalur Police Station.
Mr. Srinivas Rao’s complaints were inspector Circle (CI) Krishna and pointed out the officers of the wing of cyber criminality who followed the complainants’ bank transactions. They received the amount of the accused’s accounts, said Eluru Deputy Police Director (SP) D. Sravan Kumar.
He has called the public not to click on unknown links, respond to suspicious calls, messages and OTP, and dial 1930 if they received calls or links from fraudsters or lost money from their accounts. “If the victims immediately approach the police and banking officials, investigators will respond quickly, gain more potential customers related to crime and can detect online fraud,” Pratap Shiva Kishore said.
