Police raid pub in KPHB, arrest nine employees for alleged prostitution, entry of minors
Nine employees of a pub in KPHB were taken into custody following a nighttime raid by police who alleged that the establishment was facilitating prostitution, allowing entry to minors and operating after hours.
The raid was conducted on the night of June 6-7 by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kukatpally Zone, Ritiraj along with Additional DCP Shameer, Detective Inspector KS Ravi and other police personnel at Kings and Queens (Club Masti) Pub under KPHB Police Station.
According to police, the inspection revealed that the pub allegedly facilitated prostitution and operated without adequate measures to prevent minors from entering premises where liquor was served, operated beyond the permitted hours and served liquor and food in violation of government regulations. The police also alleged that the establishment was operating without a valid no-objection certificate from the police.
Among the nine people taken into custody were four women and five men employed at the pub. They were taken to the police station for further legal action.
Police said preliminary evidence indicated the pub owner allegedly used women to attract male customers and generate inflated bills for ill-gotten gains. Investigators also alleged that management was facilitating immoral activities and recruiting women for customers.
A case has been registered by the KPHB police under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act and the Prevention of Immoral Trade Act. Further investigation is underway.
Police said the pub had previously figured in several cases registered by the KPHB police in 2025 involving various crimes.
