In a letter of the district police chief (Ernakulam Rural), on 11 July 2025, the registrar informed that the authorities were unable to make the decision to close the main gate after 23 hours because the protesting students gathered before him. This violation seems to have support from outside. Outsiders also stayed in the campus hostels, said the letter.
Varsity Authorities were looking for officials protection, in addition to request for help to the police to make a decision on the contract of entry into the campus and hostel after 23 hours
