Police Banganapalle prevented couples from ending their lives by jumping into the channel Srisailam (SRBC).
According to a press release published on Monday, Inspector Banganapalle Circle (CI) Poe Kumar received a phone call around 17:00 from a person named Chinna Maddieti from Ramapuram in Owk Mandal. The caller said that his brother Shashikal’s wife called that she and her husband Maddilei were in Banganapalle and they ended their lives because of the pressure to repay debts.
Mr. Poreen Kumar gave the information to the higher and monitored the location of the couple via the signals of mobile phones. CI asked the sub-inspector Duggi Reddy and other staff to go to the Ravvakracond area near Srbc, where they found a couple on the bridge and prevent them from an extreme step.
The couple was brought to the police station, advised in the presence of their relatives and sent to their village.
