A 60-year-old police officer serving in Siddipet Commissionerate died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city, with the Madhapur police registering a case on the complaint of his family.
The deceased, identified as Tallapalli Raja Sambayya, who worked as a substitute sub-inspector, was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Hitec City on March 7 for treatment of a lump on his hip.
