
Narayan Venkappa Baramani, another police superintendent, Dharwad, filed a request for voluntary retirement. In a three -page letter, he asked for the VRS and said he was “offended” by the main Minister Siddaramaiah during the Congress Assembly in April.

It was rumored that he had political ambitions and that he was a candidate for a BJP ticket from Belagavi North or Belagavi’s country of constituents. But he denied these rumors.
In his letter looking for VRS, he told the incident in Belagavi when he was sent for the security arrangements for the congress assembly of 28 April. He said that the main minister “tried to slap him”, held him for the law and order a situation where several women in the crowd showed black flags and shouted the slogans. “The main minister got angry and tried to slap me. I took a step back to escape the attack. But I couldn’t escape the public humiliation, even though I didn’t make any mistakes,” he said, quoting how the TV channels were broadcasting for two days. “Neither cm nor a higher officer call me to comfort me,” he said, saying that it hit his morality.
“According to his behavior, the main minister not only reduced my morality, but also the morality of all government employees in the carnat.
Meanwhile, the opposition of BJP urged Mr. Baramani to withdraw his request. In a social media post, President BJP from Vijayendra said that the general public and BJP will offer him moral support.
Mr. Baramani’s was suspended in 2008 after Karnataka Lokayukta found that he had accumulated disproportionate assets. However, it was exempt from the investigation and renewal of the ministry. The District Court in Bagalkot rejected the case in 2017 and stated that investigative officials had, inter alia, estimate the value of assets. The Karnataka High Court confirmed this order in 2022.
