Police Kuppam launched an intervention against misleading contributions on social media and claimed that Krishna Waters had stopped flowing to Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HLSS) Branch and that the channel “dried”. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naida formally released Krishna Waters through the HNSS channel to the Paramasamudram tank near Kuppam on August 30.
The SP (KUDPAM) PARTHASARATHY representative said that false propaganda created restlessness among farmers at the crossroads of Tri-State during the key agricultural season. The police confirmed that the case was registered against the sympathizer of the YSR Congress Party after posts and videos about the problem that has appeared on social media in recent days. “We have already launched legal steps against these accounts,” Parhsarathy said. There is an investigation to monitor the origin of the campaign.
The officials explained that the water was delivered through HNSS channels as planned and rejected reports of disruption as “unfounded”. The inspection revealed that the water flow in the channel is stable. The SP representative insisted on farmers not to share such false content, and warns that strict measures would be taken according to computer crime and other relevant laws against those who spread misinformation.
