Police Kadapa won 602 mobile phones worth almost 1.8 Crore in a special ride and handed them over to the owners.
The computer crime team, which worked on complaints received through the Identity Identity Equipment Identity (CEIR) portal, has acquired mobile phones within the “Operation Mobile Shield”. So far, 4,670 mobile phones worth 9.2 Crore have been obtained in six phases.
Police manager, such as Ashok Kumar, who inspected the renewed mobile phones in Kadap on Tuesday, attributed recovery of the use of advanced tools such as digital forensic, GPS monitoring, IMEI tracking and cyber supervision tools.
People who have lost their mobile phones can turn to WhatsApp Chatbot at 9392941541 to use the missing mobile tracking system (MMTS) and CEIR. “The Kadap district has shown significant progress in the effort to recover mobile throughout the state,” Mr. Ashok Kumar said.
He advised the public not to respond to suspicious video calls, phishing e -maly or unknown contacts to avoid computer fraud. “If you become a victim of cyber fraud, it immediately reports it to the police of cyber criminality and file a complaint via MMT or CEIR for safe recovery,” was his tip.
Similarly, he warned mobile users to block all his bank accounts connected to the lost phone and disable the SIM card in the case of a mobile phone theft. He also designed to use two -factor verification and biometric security on applications like Google Pay and Phonepe.
