56 -year -old police inspector attached to the wing of the armed reserve (AR) District Police Tirupattur died on duty on Tirupattur on Wednesday for cardiac arrest.
The police said the deceased officer was identified as K. Ganesh Babu, a native of Vellore. He survived his wife and three daughters. In 2020 he was sent in the district of Tirupattur as a sub-inspector. In 2023 he was promoted as an inspector.
The initial investigation revealed that Babu had returned to his office on the land of Tirupattur after regulating the auction of old police vehicles to the public. The police said that when he was resting in the office, he suddenly suffered pain on his chest. He immediately plunged him into the office of Taluk’s government hospital in the city, where doctors declared him dead. Tirupattur SP V. Shyamal devi paid tribute to the deceased police officer.
