Police Himachal Pradesh has intensified security measures throughout the state, especially in the districts of Chamba and Kangra, which borders Jammu and Kashmir after a terrorist attack by Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists.

The police statement stated that field units were ordered to intensify the supervision and patrolling in sensitive zones, tourist destinations, bus stalls, religious places and public gatherings.
The district police were directed to increased safety on international borders, with regular vehicle checks and identity verification, she said.
Special supervision would be maintained above the movement of migrating workers while being monitored by suspects or undocumented individuals.
All stations officers were ordered to stay on the emergency room and maintain regular communication with all parts of society to ensure municipal harmony in the state, the police said.
In addition, all police superintendents were instructed to review and strengthen emergency plans, ensure effective communication systems, and maintain readiness to respond quickly to any undesirable incident.
