The Ibrahimpatnam Police of NTR Commissionerate, who have launched an investigation into the alleged visa and employment scam, are seeking to arrest an NRI couple, Jagarlamudi Madhukar and his wife Anne Rama Nandana, who have settled in the UK.
The couple, natives of Guntur, went abroad a few years ago and gained popularity on social media through their self-run You Tube channel ‘Nandu’s World’. It was alleged that the couple defrauded applicants who promised them Certificate of Sponsorship (COS), visas and offers of work in the UK.
Police registered a case in November last year following a complaint lodged by victim M Siva Kranthi Kumar, who alleged that the couple and Madhukar’s father Mohan Rao cheated him on the pretext of issuing COS, renewing his visa and offering him a job in the UK.
In his complaint, Mr. Kumar said that he met Mr. Madhukar, director of ‘Destiny Consultancy’, who asked to meet his father Mohan Rao in Guntur. He allegedly transferred ₹15 lakh in installments to various bank accounts as directed by the organizers of the consultancy.
Later, the victim found out that the COS letter issued to him was fake and the counseling organizers did not respond, Mr. Kumar alleged.
Meanwhile, the couple was alleged to have duped multiple job seekers in Telangana and a case was registered in Hyderabad, it was learnt. Seeking the cooperation of Interpol, the Ibrahimpatnam police intensified their search for the accused.
“So far we have received only one complaint against an NRI couple and Mohan Rao. The accused are absconding,” NVSK West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) NVSK Durga Rao told The Hindu on Saturday (June 6, 2026). “We plan to contact our counterparts from neighboring states for a thorough investigation,” ACP said.
