
Police and excise duty units will intensify the supervision of educational institutions in the Kozhikode district as part of the efforts to combat the abuse of addictive substances. In the new academic year, all vulnerable areas will be deployed officers of motorcycles and officers for commonities.
Students trying to bunk will also be under control. The excise duties department will deploy officers in public places in public places to monitor such students and immediately alert their parents of corrective measures. Police units also maintain the presence in these areas.
“Children who skip classes and loiter around the city often fall into the hands of drug pressure and other anti -social elements. The parents we discussed with this idea also supported it,” said the leading officer of the excise tax. According to police sources, public parks, tourism beach places, shopping centers and cinemas will be carefully monitored to watch students who leave school without permission. School authorities have already been informed about the initiative, which will be conducted strictly as preventive measures.
“In the last two months, more than 100 local drugs have been arrested in Kozhikode. He said that a special drive is intensified for the safety of students in the new academic year.
“Cadets of the student police and other school volunteer groups have already been trained to identify drug peduliers and respond appropriately to coordination with law enforcement officials. More drop boxes will be placed in various places to allow students to submit confidential petitions.” He added that the details of the minors previously in contact with drug merchants were collected for continuous monitoring.
