At a high-level coordination meeting, which took place on Tuesday, the Hyderaba Police outlined extensive safety, transport management and civil measures to ensure peaceful behavior of the annual Muharram procession, in particular the Bibi-Alam event scheduled for 6 or 7 July.

However, the meeting also caused criticism from the important group of participating parties – carers of historical Ashorakanas Hyderabad. In a statement issued after the meeting, they expressed dissatisfaction over their exclusion from the official platform. “Unfortunately, the Mirchowk division did not invite us properly in the Southern Police zone, Ashorakhanas, who are the main parties in Muharram.
The statement continued: “We don’t buy their last, half -cordial efforts to calm the community. No more” eye washing “! Our decision to boycott their meetings is proof of our unity and determination. ”
They called on the police commissioner to directly organize a separate coordination meeting with Ashorakhan caregivers and add that they were willing to cooperate fully with the police in ensuring smooth and respectful adherence to Muharram.
