Police Dwaraka Tirumal on Saturday (June 7) arrested a three -member gang of counterfeit currency and receiver on Saturday. The police also received 65 ₹ Lakh in false monetary notes and a car used by a gang.

The Tip-Off team led by the Deputy Police Director Eluru (DSP) D. Sravan Kumar and Inspector Bhimadole Circle UJ Wilson captured the gang while trying to replace false monetary notes with the original cash.
The defendant promised to provide Subramananyam 15 lakh in the original notes in fake monetary notes for 2.5 Lakh. The police arrested the gang and the receiver, the police said.
The gang also committed theft in Yangareddygud and escaped with jewelry. Police received gold and silver ornaments from the accused, DSP said. Further investigations are underway.
