To ensure smooth conduct of elections to Bhainsa village in Nirmal district on Wednesday, the police took out a march in the town on Tuesday.
Nirmal Superintendent of Police G. Janaki Sharmila led the track march.
The march was organized as part of elaborate security measures to instill confidence among voters and ensure free and fair elections, police said. It passed through the main arteries of the city.
The police have specially targeted 48 sensitive and 37 hypersensitive polling stations in the three civic bodies going to polls in Nirmal district on Wednesday.
