Police Commissioner St. Rajashkara Babu and his wife offered the goddess Kanaka Durg to “Hittu” (tree) and temple at one city police station on Sunday (September 21, 2025).
As part of the tradition, the police commissioner together with one city police and his family loan in the Temple of Vinayaka and offered the “Patta of the Vastral” to the goddess at the peak of Indrakeeladri for Dasar Utsavams. The collector of the NTR district G. Lakshmisha stated that the temple authorities took the necessary measures. “The priority would be given to the common devotees and the waiting time in the lines of the queue would be shortened. During the UTSavams we canceled the 500 ₹ ticket,” he added. The collector stated that the VIP Darshans would be allowed from 7:00 am to 9 am and only from 15:00 to 17:00.
“The whole Indrakeeladri is divided into 35 sectors for which officers are appointed separately for each sector. The emergency gates were arranged every 50 meters along the queue lines,” said EO VK Seeda Naik.
Traffic restrictions
The Police Commissioner said that traffic restrictions would be deposited from September 22 to October 2 on all major roads in Vijayawada. Operation from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Chennai and other cities will be diverted to avoid the devotees. The parking spaces were organized in Kummaripal, Punnamighat, Gollapudi Market Yard, Punnel Ghat, Bhavani Ghat, Brts Road, Gymkhana area in Gandhi Nagar and other places, the police said.
