In order to reduce the growing cases of human conflicts in urban areas bordering forests, which led to loss of life, the CEO and CEO of the police ordered the jurisdiction police to intensify preventive measures, ensure right and order, strengthened coordination and strengthen community contact.
In a permanent order issued at the beginning of this month, the State Police Director Ma Salem ordered a jurisdictory police working in areas bordering forests to improve preventive and rapid reaction, better coordination and community field programs.
The order came as a result of growing incidents related to wild animals, including the recent incident of angry villagers who locked forest cage officials, tigers poisoning and his four pups in the sanctuary of MM Hills this year and several cases of hunting wild animals.
Mr. Sale, to take measures to be taken, said: “Police bordering jurisdictions with a forest area, in addition to intensifying babysitting, should set up control positions at strategic places to check illegal activities and prevent unauthorized entry into forest areas, especially after dusk.”
“Police Jurisdiction should have coordination meetings and set up community contacts and village committees to collect intelligence and follow illegal activities. The police should coordinate with forest departments in their capture and rescue operations and provide accompanying services,” he added.
Mr. Sale also ordered the police to use drones technology and wireless communication for law and order during an animal conflict.
