Police caught a juvenile with methamphetamine
The city police arrested a youth in Kazhakuttam on Sunday for allegedly possessing nearly 95 grams of methamphetamine. The accused, identified as Shamnu, 30, of Malayinkeezhu, was arrested around 1am after his car was intercepted in Kazhakuttam in a joint operation by the Kazhakuttam police and the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF). In an attempt to escape arrest, the accused allegedly rammed his vehicle into a police vehicle.
According to official sources, the police at Shamnu seized 93.63 grams of methamphetamine. He is suspected to have planned to sell the narcotic substance among IT professionals and college students in the Kazhakuttam area.
