Cyberabad traffic police reserved 238 for driving under the influence of alcohol during a special weekend recovery. Chevella police station recorded the highest number of 27 cases, followed by Miyapur 24, Balanagar 20 and Shamshabad 18, while Madhapur reported the lowest with seven cases.
Most of the violations with 187 cases were two wheels. There were 45 cases including four wheels, four three -wheel and two heavy vehicles.
Most offenders were between the ages of 21 and 40, while 83 was in the age group 31 to 40 78 years at 21 to 30. No underage perpetrator was reserved and only one person over 61 was booked.
Regarding the concentration of alcohol in the blood (BAC), 101 perpetrators had levels between 51 and 100 mg/100 ml, 52 were between 101 and 150, 23 between 151 and 200, 13 and 300 and five were found with levels above 300 mg/100 ml.
The police said that all who are booked, will be made in court and issued a warning that anyone who will cause a fatal accident under the influence will face charges referred to in Section 105 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit, 2023, which is a murdered murder. The crime carries maximum imprisonment and fine.
